Arcachon, France. Mai 2006.
(Dang title-length-limit on DA.... the full title is "How much is that kitty in the window...?", a play on the old song title)
Wandering downtown shortly after we arrived in the city, we stepped into one of the shops. As I went through the doorway, I looked over and spotted the cat snoozing comfortably in the front display window with all the merchandise, so I snapped a shot.
I hadn't really thought much about it until I saw it developed... it turned out so well!!
A lot of people like this one so far... though it takes most people a second to find the cat!

A commentary on consumerism, perhaps? The cat, a living being is just one more item among many for purchase. All of the angling lines, including the leaf border on the rug draw the eye to the photo and toward the focal point, which is the cat. Nice shot.
